Come and have a blast in Bessemer this 4th of July. Enjoy small town charm with a true hometown 4th of July festival as we celebrate “Bessemer Blast 2016.” You will find games, hometown run with tot trot, craft fair, outdoor card tournaments, karaoke, street bowling and the best parade and fireworks in the upper mid-west.

This year’s Bessemer Blast runs from Friday, June 27 through Saturday, July 4. There is guaranteed excitement for every age, culminating with our “Thunder on the Mountain” fireworks display on July 4 starting at 10 pm. You are sure to see old friends and make new ones.

Many of your favorite events are back this year – Geocache Dash, Poker Run, Craft & Vendor Fair, and Dominos Fall – just to name a few. New this year are the Sidewalk Chalk Drawing Competition and six Lumberjack Shows. Geocache Dash & Poker Run rules can be viewed or downloaded from the Entry Forms & Rules link.

Our 50/50 ticket sellers will be all around town and our 50/50 tent will once again be set up in the BP gas station parking lot. The prize for 2014 was an amazing $28,338!

The GIANT 4th of July parade begins at 7 p.m. and the last parade float will show the winning 50/50 number.
