Golden and cinnibar chanterelles along with many other mushrooms were up near Greer's Ferry Lake. The chanterelles will go good with some walleye and crappie filets.

Found golden chanterelles on Memorial Day. Most were still unfurling. Found two or three mature ones. A tasty treat to make up for the lack of morels!

Found about 40 this past week but they were all in Minn. and northern Ill. and very fresh. Then found some over-the-hill yellows south of Springfield Ill on the way back to AR. Season's over for me, it was an unusual year that started late then got over fast in souther-central AR. Too cold and wet and then to hot and dry.

The season is over for me.

Went out last night for about 2 hours. Found approx two dozen, mostly yellow. Lots of big yellows, but about half of what I found were decaying and too old. All were around sycamore trees.

Went hunting today with my friends and found a few.. Big Yellows.. They are still coming up and the rain we got helped a lot.. I think this season will go till the end of may the way the weather is acting I don't think it is near warm enough to get the numbers I am use to getting so i will keep hunting them till I know for sure they are all gone.

I'm a beginner.
Found 2 yellow morels this weekend...on a bench
Are they still out there?
And if so, does it matter if it is a river bottom, bench or mountain top?
Thank you!

Me and my friends went last Monday and found 10 nice yellows. I don't know about the rest of you fellow hunters but this is the worst season I have ever gone through. Last year at this time according to my records i had found over 300 at this time... I may be wrong but I think the season will go to the end of next month simply because of the ground temperatures and the lack of rain in this area.. I am going out Today and Monday I Will let you all know how I did... Good hunting to ALL...

I found 136 yesterday (4/21). Mostly all large whites. If we don't get rain within the next 2 days it could be the end for me this season.

Found 4 yesterday around Imboden. All were drying up but I've got them in water trying to bring them back a little. We will see if that works or not. I'm guessing it is over for me.
