A BIG THANK YOU to so many for making the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival a success – we had a great time and heard so much good music over the weekend, we’re going to have to do it again….August 23, 24 & 25, 2019

THANK YOU to the amazing performers that travelled to our little corner of the world to play their great music for us, and those who live in our own back yard. You inspired us, made us laugh, made us dance, and we will never forget your time on our stages.

THANK YOU to the Friends of the Porkies, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Gogebic Community College, Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, Arts Midwest Touring Fund, National Endowment for the Arts, Major sponsors: Porcupine Mountains Visitors & Convention Bureau, WUPY FM, WOLV FM, and the Reader Weekly, All additional Sponsors, Donors, and Advertisers. Your support makes all the difference and we hope that our attendees will remember to support you year long in return.

THANK YOU to our amazing crew leaders and the 130 volunteers. You once again went over and above to do a great job and it really showed. Please get some much needed rest, and know the important role you play in making this festival happen each year.

THANK YOU to Doug and Mary of Armadillo Sounds, and to Tom and Jason from Festival Productions, Gerry Kiipola and to Superior Events and Rentals for helping us with our staging needs.

THANK YOU to our amazing audience. Your enthusiasm, comments, thumbs up, and embracing of this Festival as being something special means everything to us and it keeps us going when we are so tired. The organizing committee will be reviewing your surveys and will be meeting the last Wednesday in September to discuss this year’s festival. Your feedback is helpful and appreciated.

Thank you. Yup. Thank you. xoxo

PROGRAM GUIDE DEADLINE is approaching fast! We thank all who have donated to the Music Festival in the past, No amount is too small and is all helpful in our efforts to continue to sustain and make improvements. This year we are bringing in a Mobile Stage unit that will elevate the performers for better sight lines and have side walls for greater protection. We have also arranged for our sound provider Armadillo Sound bring in more sound equipment to accommodate greater sound outside and in back of the chalet in the event of inclement weather, which has increased costs. We have held our ticket prices at the same price for years as expenses have increased. We thank everyone who has bought , or will be buying, a ticket to our event. We thank those who have sent a donation, taken a sponsorship or purchased an ad. It all helps so much!

Those interested in making a donation to the music festival may mail a check made payable to "The Friends of the Porkies" and write "music festival donation" on the memo line. The names of our Donors will be listed in the Program Guide if received by July 7th. Mail to PMMF c/o C. Sundberg, PO Box 224, Ontonagon, MI 49953. The Friends of the Porkies are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization.

Thank you!

This is great news that you are upgrading the stage. Hopefully this will allow for acts to remain on the main stage even if weather becomes unfavorable (like it has the past two years). Seeing as how I was vocal about the need for these changes, I guess it is time to either put up, or shut up. Thanks for taking these steps to provide a better festival environment for all.

Raising ticket prices in the future is understandable
