Gogebic Range Trail Authority - ORV & Snowmobile Club
Trails are in better shape than we guessed, but still rated poor to fair due to a base of 1-8" with most spots having a base of 4-6" hard pack. It was -12 in the groomer pulling into the barn at midnight (I had to work at 7am), water hazard frequency has been cut in half, mainly just the big holes and bigger drainage issues remain open. Yes, if you come ride, you will see spots of mud. Our operator is shown plowing snow into a known mud hole to aid in freezing it up last night. If you're dying to ride it is definitely worth it. Trail 160 remains closed and we'll post more pictures throughout the day. Stay tuned and join our club online!! gogebicrangeta.org/index.php/memberships no PayPal needed, after you click pay with PayPal it let's you process CC as a guest. Unless you have one of these canvas tents with a woodstove like Backcountry Bill...... you might want to book a hotel room or cabin for Midwest Telefest 2019 this February 8-10 at Porkies Ski Area in Silver City, MI.

Telefest is only about 3 months away and we're getting pretty excited!

Friday Feb. 8 - open skiing and party at 2 Loons in Silver City with live music and chili contest.... bring a batch of your best chili to win!

Saturday Feb. 9 - Uphill/Downhill race, human slalom, gang ski, group photo and the best skiing with all your friends! Traditional party in the Porkies Lodge at night with potluck food and BYOB, prizes, free stuff and old time music!

Sunday Feb. 10 - Backcountry tours and open skiing at the hill!

More details to come closer to Telefest
Hope to see you all there this year!

SEASONAL ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE: As of today, December 1st, both Hwy 107 and South Boundary roads are officially closed and have been posted as such. Ice and snow in the high country is not yet enough for snowmobiling but is enough to make for treacherous driving. Officials from both Gogebic and Ontonagon County road commissions have legally closed these roads. Parking is now at the Headquarters, Ski Area and Whitetail Cabin parking area. #midnr #miparks #roadclosure ... See MoreSee Less
