The Porkies - Porcupine Mountains

Good morning our dear Porcupines. It is with heavy hearts that we announce to you this morning that the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival, presented by the Friends of the Porkies will remain on “hiatus” for 2021 due to issues related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. At the present time the State of Michigan outdoor gathering limit remains at 300. With so many variables in play, planning to proceed this year turned out to be too much of a gamble…and as much as we wanted to bring the festival back this summer, we still can’t find a realistic path to making that happen.

We remain hard at work charting the course of the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival, and have immediately set our sights on 2022. The steering committee is taking this opportunity to re-evaluate and re-organize, so the Music Festival can return strong, sound and healthy…to what will surely be a period of high demand for live music events going forward.

TICKET INFO: Those holding purchased tickets for the postponed 2020 event (that have not been previously refunded or donated) will once again have the option to roll those same tickets to 2022, donate the tickets back to the music festival, or request a refund. The deadline for refund requests is June 30, 2021. If a ticket rollover to 2022 is desired, there is no need to do anything. Replacement tickets will automatically be sent to the address of record used when tickets were purchased, and the timing of the mailings will be announced on the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival’s Facebook page and the website porkiesfestival.org. Please direct any questions or concerns regarding purchased tickets by email to tickets@porkiesfestival.org or by calling 906-231-1589. For those wishing to write us, please direct to PMMF c/o C. Sundberg, PO Box 224, Ontonagon, MI 49953.

The 16th Annual Porcupine Mountains Music Festival is tentatively scheduled to return August 26-28, 2022. We will keep pushing forward towards a brighter future when we can sing, dance, feel and laugh together again, and we send our best wishes to each and every one of you. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for updates. Thank you for your understanding and support.
