The Colors

As the days get shorter there is a slight chill in the air. We watch with amazement as the trees begin to turn color. Fall is here. You can never see the fall colors here too often. Those who have, come back time and again. It is a time of year to relax. The beauty of Fall is unmatched. Our colors change at different times depending on how close you are to Lake Superior.

Lake Superior's water keeps warm and the trees stay green longer. So you can travel the region and find color just about all of September and early October. The colors outlined by the mountains, bluffs and lakes form postcards around every corner. Extend your summer with a visit to the best fall colors around.
